Kozhikode beach. Kappadu, not far from here, is fabled to be the European gateway to India when Vasco da Gama landed there in 1498.
I call the beautiful city of Kozhikode, in the state of Kerala, India, my home. It was here I did my schooling, at Devagiri CMI Public School.
Kozhikode, a.k.a. Calicut, is a beautiful coastal city with, in my biased opinion, one of the best cuisines in the world. If you’re ever in Kozhikode do try the Kozhikoden Halwa and Malabari Biriyani.
In 2015, I moved to the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali in Punjab, to pursue a 5 year Bachelor of Science - Master of Science dual degree. From the southern part of India, now I had moved to its North-west frontier state.
Mohali, as part of the Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula tri-city, is a great place to live with great food. Do not miss the Butter chicken at Pal Dhaba if you’re ever in Chandigarh.

From the Visual Arts course at IISER Mohali. Physics and mathematics were perhaps the least interesting outcomes of my life there.

The Sydney skyline with the inclusion of my university UTS.
I graduated from IISER Mohali in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a major in Physics. In 2021 I started my Ph.D. at The University of Technology under the guidance of Chris Ferrie in quantum computing. After a year of ‘Ph.D. from home’, I moved to Sydney in January 2022 where I currently reside.
While not focused on research, I like to play video games, mainly Age of Empires 2. Other activities I pursue on an (ir)regular basis include working out at the gym, swimming, sketching, and cooking.
A few of my artworks, culinary and otherwise, are included below.
